Dies denke ich nicht, Michu. Eher wird das Zeugs dann mit irgendwelchem Dreck gestreckt und die Leute welche es konsumieren ziehen sich noch giftieren Scheiss mit den entsprechenden Auswirkungen rein. Zudem wird vermutlich ein Grossteil dieser Pillen nicht in Thailand selber konsumiert sondern in Ländern, in welchen der Preis nur eine untergeordnete Rolle spielt.

Das anziehen der Preise zeigt doch, dass es gefährlicher und damit auch teurer wird, das Zeug zu schmuggeln/zu veräußern.
Vor 15 Jahren war der Preis für eine dieser bunten Pillen um die 20 Baht und die wurden an jeder Ecke vertickert.

B240m speed haul in Tak

More than 800,000 speed pills were found buried near a hut in a border village in Mae Sot district of Tak province, police said on Saturday.

A team of soldiers was dispatched to Wat Takhian village in tambon Tha Sailuad late Friday night following a tip-off that a gang had smuggled illicit drugs from Myanmar into Mae Sot by crossing the Moei River.

The officers found a suspicious hut behind the village and searched it. The search turned up the methamphetamine pills in packs buried behind the hut. Methamphetamine pills sell for 300 baht apiece or more on the street, making the haul worth 240 million baht.

Nobody was in the hut, said police, who are following up on the case after being alerted by the military.

B500m yaba haul in Phayao

PHAYAO — More than 2 million speed pills with street value of 500 million baht have been seized along the Thai-Lao border in Phayao province, the largest haul of illicit drugs ever seized in the northern province, the military said on Saturday.

A team of paramilitary rangers and forestry officials patrolling the Hua Miang forest in Phu Sang district, about one kilometre from the border, spotted a group of nine men carrying fertiliser sacks at about 5.30pm on Friday.

On seeing the officers, the men fled into a jungle, leaving nine sacks and one backpack in the area.

The team found 2.3 million methamphetamine pills hidden in the abandoned sacks. The orange pills, with the letters ‘’WY’’ stamped on them, were believed to belong to a Wa drug trafficking gang, Maj Gen Banjerd Changpoonthong, Third Army deputy chief said during a news conference on Saturday.

The seized drugs were estimated to be worth between 400 million and 500 million baht, said Maj Gen Banjerd. The drug gang had shifted the smuggling route from Myanmar border areas opposite Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai to Lao border areas opposite Phayao, he added.

The military earlier asked soldiers to increase patrols to stem the inflow of illicit drugs along the border, particularly during long public holidays.

1.5m speed pills seized in Nong Khai

Police arrested a man and seized more than 1.5 million methamphetamine pills after delivery across the Mekong River to Nong Khai province early Sunday, according to Matichon Online.

The arrest was made by a team of police lying in wait on the bank of the Mekong River in Muang district after obtaining information that a large quantity of drugs would be smuggled across the border.

At about 3am, a long-tailed boat with three men on board arrived at a boat landing near a restaurant in the municipality area and some men unloaded eight sacks from the boat and left them on the shore.

Two men waiting in a pickup truck went down to the river bank to pick up the sacks. That was when the police showed up to arrest them.

The police managed to arrest only one of them, identified later as Kue Wanchaichana, 22, from Chiang Rai province. The other man managed to escape.

Found in the eight sacks were 758 bundles containing 1.51 million methamphetamine pills.

Mr Kue said he and the friend who escaped were hired by an unidentified man in Chiang Rai for 20,000 baht each to pick up the drugs and deliver them to Bangkok.

Seven caught with 1.5m speed pills in four raids

Seven suspects were caught and 1.5 million methamphetamine pills seized in four coordinated raids in Chiang Mai, Pathun Thani, Bangkok and Rayong provinces on Thursday morning, Manager Online reported.

At the first location in Chiang Mai's Mae Taeng district, authorities arrested Sanchai Laoyang, 36, in a search of a house in Moo 5 village of tambon Ban Chang and a car on Mae Taeng - Pai road, and seized a total of 200,000 speed pills.

Another 800,000 methamphetamine pills were seized at the parking lot of a department store in Pathum Thani's Rangsit area. Four suspects were arrested.

At the third location, the parking area of a department store on Ram-intra road in Bangkok, authorities arrested one suspect with 232,000 speed pills.

A search of the fourth target in Rayong province resulted in the arrest of a suspect with 330,000 methamphetamine pills.

A 17-year-old Lao girl was arrested by police in Ubon Ratchathani on Wednesday night with 11,040 methamphetamine pills she had smuggled from Laos for clients in five northeastern provinces, Thairath Online reported.

Pol Capt Rachen Hongcharee, of Border Patrol Police Sub-division 22, said the teenage girl, whose name was withheld, was arrested about 7.30pm in front of a Big C superstore in Muang district after she handed a number of speed pills to a police decoy.

The sting operation was set up after police obtained information a drug courier would deliver a large quantity of drugs to clients in southern northeast provinces.

The police found in her possession six bundles containing a total of 11,040 methamphetamine pills. The packets were intended to be delivered to clients in Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Kalasin, Buri Ram and Nakhon Ratchasima.

The girl said she had been promised payment of 20,000 baht if she successfuly delivered the drugs from Savannakhet, Laos, to clients in the five Thai provinces.

She said she was a Mathayom 3 (9th Grade) student who would move up to Mathayom 4 in three months. She intended to use the money to buy a motorcycle to go to school.

Smuggler killed, 500,000 yaba pills seized in Chiang Rai

A drug smuggler was killed and a half-million methamphetamine pills seized in a shootout with police in Chiang Rai early today.

The smuggler was travelling in a pickup truck without a license plate when police tried to pull him over on Wat Rongkhun route in Muang district around 2am Friday. The driver refused to stop, setting off a high-speed chase.

The driver lost control of the truck and it plunged into a roadside ditch. He quickly got out and started shooting at police, officers claimed. That prompted police to return fire, shooting the suspect in the head and chest, Thai media reported today.

After the clash, police searched his vehicle and found three sacks containing 500,000 speed pills. The sacks were hidden under cardboard boxes.

Police said the smuggler, aged around 40, carried no identification. They will expand their investigation to find who was involved with the drug smuggling.
